About her...
Karen Jones is a French painter and writer. After studying fine arts, she has lived in different places around the globe. It's in Paris that she found all the energy driving her work. Now settled in the city of lights, she devotes all her time to her pictural and literary creations.
Karen aspires to a synthesis of intellect and emotion and wants her painting to be as expressive as the music it draws inspiration from.
Her acrylics are a cross between neo-expressionism, abstract, and automatism. She plays with rhythms, colors, and light to offer an intense, emotional, sometimes mystical world vision. The use of mixed techniques gives her work strong contrasts, power and vulnerability, strength and softness, audacity and humility...
Karen's paintings are not totally abstract and our attention is drawn to them by identifiable shapes.
